Since I was 15, painting has felt like a natural and fulfilling part of my life. Faced with a blank canvas, I instinctively dive in, but the creative process always takes me on an unpredictable journey as I engage with the evolving artwork. It's this dynamic, the give-and-take of invention, that keeps me repeatedly loving to paint.
My career as a florist, gardener, and horticulturist has taught me more about color, composition, and form than I ever learned in art school. I've been fortunate to have lived in a great city rich with culture and inspiration and also in the countryside, immersed in nature.
I prefer working in series, dedicating time to explore and reimagine a concept or theme in depth. This website showcases some of those explorations.
